Kathryn is a Vancouver based photographer, however, much of her work is inspired by travel. She studied photography at the Ontario College of Art & Design and Emily Carr University of Art & Design. In 1994 she won first prize in Cottage Life (Winter 1994/1995) magazine's photo contest for her photograph Reading in the Shade. Her work ranges from landscape to portraits, to still life; Kathryn's photographs have an allusive quality created by capturing the small telling detail and building the frame around this temporal space.
